Change of Directors on CIPC

Register as a customer

Step 1- Get Started

Go to eservices.cipc.co.za and click on “Customer Registration”

Step 2- Identification

Indicate if you are a South African citizen or not and fill in the required information

Step 3- Personal Information

Fill in your personal information in the space provided and when done, click on the register

Step 4- Confirmation

You will then receive your confirmation message and your customer code

How to change directors online

Step 1- Get Started

Go to www.cipc.co.za/index.php/line-transacting/ and click on “Company Directory Changes”

Step 2- Customer ID login

Click on the customer login on the left-hand side of your screen and type in the required information in the spaces provided.

Step 3- Director details

Click on the “Amend Company Director Details” and wait for the next loading page to pop-up

Step 4- Company Registration number

Enter your company registration number in the space provided then click validate, if you are unsure on how to get your registration number you can follow these easy steps by clicking here

Step 5- List of Directors

The list of directors will now pop up, enter the first listed director’s ID number and click on the circle in the bottom right corner of the screen to confirm the details that are being shown belong to the company for who you want to change directors.

Step 6- New or No new Directors

This screen will indicate the current directors of the company, choose if you want to add or don’t want to add any new directors

Step 7- Edit customer

If you need to edit a director’s details click on the “edit customer details” tab on the left side of the screen

Step 8- Lodge changed settings

When you are done editing the customer setting click on “lodge” on the bottom right side of the screen

Step 9- Tracking number

You will receive a notification of the tracking of the transaction that took place and an email with all the documentation required for step 10

Step 10- CoR39 Document

All directors and customers are then required to sign the Cor39 document and send the signed document to [email protected] as well as all supporting documents. These supporting documents include:

  • Certified ID copy of applicant and affected directors
  • Resolution pertaining to the changes
  • Notice and minutes if the decision was taken in a meeting
  • The mandate by the company is for the third party to submit on behalf of the company.
